Background
Back in the "olden days", Grandma used to place a silver dollar inside each milk bottle when the milk man delivered them to keep them from going sour right away. Royalty has always used silverware, and it is a fact of history that they largely survived the plagues that ravaged medieval Europe, while the peasants, consigned to using wooden and copper utensils, died by the millions. The beneficial properties of silver have long been known. Doctors still apply a silver solution to severe burns. Silver nitrate is applied to the eyes of newborns to prevent blindness.
The modern modality is colloidal silver (CS) -- a suspension of ultra-fine silver particles in water produced by electrolysis. Ours vs. The Competition's
The usual colloidal silver maker/generator offered for sale runs on 27+ volts (three 9-volt batteries, a 30-volt plug-in transformer, or a single 9-volt battery with an internal voltage multiplier circuit). As stated in the previous paragraph, ours operate on 7-1/2 to 15 volts (meaning that internally, we use less than 7-1/2 volts). Some of our compettition's models use low current, some do not -- all of ours do. The goal in making CS is to make the particles of silver as small as possible; and excessive voltage or current result in increased particle size and other undesirable effects. Larger particles mean that there's less of them for a given concentration (parts per million - PPM, which is measured by weight of silver to water). (One can calculate PPM based on Faraday's equations for electrolysis.) Fewer particles mean that fewer little nasties get killed -- see CS in action for yourself. And, overly-large particles can lead to heavy-metal poisoning.
Particle size can be roughly ascertained by noting the color and clarity of the resulting solution. All of our machines produce clear to yellow solutions. No one seems to balk against clear solutions. Most sources agree that pink solutions indicate unacceptable particle size. The majority are OK with yellow, the intermediate between clear and pink. Most also agree that the solution should be transparent, that cloudy solutions are dangerous junk. Our silver makers produce solutions that are crystal-clear.

The Silver Maker is our entry-level unit. It offers three manually-selectable current settings. The higher the current, the shorter the time it takes to make a given amount of solution or a solution of a given PPM, but the larger the resultant particle size. Also includes a "PWR" indicator which goes out when operating from batteries when the battery voltage reaches the level at which the internal operating voltage cannot be sustained (about 6.75 volts).

The Silver Bullet is our mid-level model. Features additional to the Silver Maker include built-in shut-off timer and automatic stirring. The timer can be manually set to SHORT, MED, and LONG for repeatable results. The built-in stirrer completes the capability for unattended operation. Stirring during processing is necessary to reduce agglomeration, i.e., the re-fusing of small silver particles into larger ones.

The Silver Smith is our top-of-the-line model. At its heart is a micro-processor and associated circuitry to allow for precise control over the operating current and processing time. With the Silver Smith, you set the desired current (anywhere from LOW to HIGH), the amount of solution you wish to make, the PPM the solution is to have, press START -- and it takes over from there! (You may also follow your own current/time regimen.)

See Colloidal Silver In Action...
All you need to see for yourself that CS has anti-microbial properties is a package of unflavored gelatin, sugar, corn starch, two bowls, and some CS. Prepare a cup of gelatin according to the manufacturer's directions. Then, stir in a teaspoon each of sugar and corn starch. Divide the mixture into the bowls and add a tablespoon of CS to one bowl. Place both bowls (uncovered) into a dark cabinet, closet, etc. for 5-7 days. If you've got good CS, the bowl without the CS will have all kinds of junk growing in it, while the bowl with the CS will be clean. Incidentally, a little discrepancy in an experiment conducted about 60 years ago -- a clean ring observed around some mold found growing in a laboratory Petri dish -- led to Penicillin.)
